Früherkennung ist gerade in der Augenheilkunde von immenser Bedeutung. Wenn die Augen krank werden, merken wir das meistens gar nicht. Erst wenn es schon fast zu spät ist, treten Symptome auf. Unsere hochmoderne Diagnostik heute kann die meisten Augenkrankheiten in einem sehr frühen Stadium zu entdecken. Ab dem 40. Lebensjahr ist für all Patienten eine Vorsorgeuntersuchung zur Früherkennung des Glaukoms (Grüner Star), altersbedingte Makuladegeneration (AMD), und Cataracta (grauer Star) zu empfehlen.

Our comprehensive eye exam will evaluate how well you see. It will also detect any potential eye diseases which can cause your vision to deteriorate if not treated early. It is recommended that adults with no signs or risk factors of eye disease have a comprehensive eye exam at the age of 40, the time when early signs of disease and changes in vision may start to occur. The entire eye is examined from front to back, starting with the eyelids, looking at the conjunctiva, the cornea, and natural lens, and finally the back of the eye, looking at the optic nerve, the macula, the vessels, and the retina.
